This is such a powerful parsha, filled with nonstop action, that it feels like a movie shifting from one scene to another. This study focuses on Jacob from the moment he leaves Be’er Sheva to when he crosses the Jabbok as a changed man. He is transformed because he had an encounter with the living God. Almost every scene in this story revolves around the number three, stones, a well, and a ladder, all of which point us directly to Yeshua centuries before He walked the hills of Galilee. There is a well-known Hebrew saying, Ma’ashe avot siman la-banim – the deeds of the fathers are a sign for the children. Today, we’ll see that Jacob’s actions are not just signs; they’re like a neon arrow pointing straight to Yeshua. And what I love most is that it shows each of us how we can change our lives.
